I have 3 bala sharks and they are in good shape. I just bought a new one today and noticed it is very pale colored and now it is shedding all over. Is this a sick fish or just stressed? Concerned for my other balas!

I've never heard of a Bala shedding. It sounds like a body fungus, possiblly from PH burn when he was acclimated into the tank. Take a look from the end of your tank and see if the water has a white cloudiness. If it does the above is most likely true. The white cloudiness is the slime coating that normally protects the fishes body. Talk to your petshop about something for the fungus and a PH buffer that will help the fish develop his slime coating. Hope this helps.
