I have a 6" red bellied pirahna just bought, both of them have large pimple like sores on their bottom jaws, have tried everything, anyone know what they are??? IP: Logged |

I have seen some big pirhana and pacu develop sores near their mouth area due to excess rubbing up on the sides of aquariums or substrate gravel. They have a reputation of being tough, yet to me they seem kinda skittish and when they dart around they bump into things, especially at night. Make sure and perform regular water changes and I'll bet the sores will go away! IP: Logged |
