they usually lay eggs in spring or fall. mine layed eggs in both. i dont know why. signs of pregnaucy is that the male will chase the female around and it looks like they are picking on them. and bitting there butt. they will usually do this ALL day. there is no other way of telling. if you have more than one male. i recomend alowing one male to chase. the females will be extreemly tired. so allowing one male to chase is a little easier on them. also. the mail will get white spots on there gills. this is not ick. it shows that they are in heat.so. the best thing to do is get some kind of patch of grass to put at the bottom of the fish tank. your local pet store should have them in stock. and they can help you which one to pick. because your fish will eat the eggs like crazy. other than that good luck. click on my cry for help on the message board and see if you cant help me with my fish. sasha IP: Logged |
