I have breed Siamese fighter fish for the second time. The first time I breed Siamese fighters, I only had 10 females but this time I have 6 males and 8 females. I’m not sure what age to separate the males. They are already 4 months old. Is it possible if I don’t separate them they may not attack each other? IP: Logged |

It is not possible to keep the males together any longer. Four months is the perfect time to separate your fish. The males should be housed separately from each other AND the females. Bettas can reach sexual maturity as early as four to five months so unless you want some brother sister action, act quick. The females can all be housed together , but the males must be divided into quart/gallon jars. Good luck! IP: Logged |
