I know nothing about Fish but I have "inhertited" a 2000 Gal pond in my garden in the UK. The pond is about 7 years old as are the fish. I have two Ghost Faced Koi ( about 16 inches long ) This year we have discovered that there are about 12/20 small fish in the pond also. Never been seen before. They seem to be of many colours, some favour the Ghost Faced Koi, some are jet black, some appear to be little Gold Fish. My question is does that mean for each breeding type ( Koi/Gold Fish etc ) I must have "breeding pairs", ( obviously very successful as I only hav two of each species. Can one fish type ( Comet/Goldfish/Koi ) firtilise another?? Help, need to understand. Wmail address = wejofostLaol.com. Wej Parry IP: Logged |

well... that is awesome, i wish i had a 2000 gallon... anyways... no one fish cannot imperganate another if its of the other species. im not sure on the exact conditions needed to breed but my guess is, if those fish have been together that long they are ready just need a spot to do it, kind of like when u were a kid and u wanted a car so you had a place to do it, IP: Logged |
