I have had 2 molly and 2 guppy for about 3 weeks. One of the guppy died very quickly: it was fine one day, eating and swimming about. By the next morning, it had lost most of its tail and he was dead in the evening. The same then happened to the other guppy.
There was no woolly / white growth on their body or tail. The guppies are smaller than both mollies in size.
Any idea what this could be ?
I initially thought it could be fin rot, but I did not think it would appear and kill that quickly. Could it be fin rot even though there is no the white wooly edge ?
Could the molly be snipping the tails off ? Would that kill the guppy so quickly ? I did check that both molly and guppy were community fish.
Thanks.
