I had four gold fish in 10 litre bowl equipped with air pump. The fish have died after white patches appeared on their skin and the nice flaring tail became straight like 'broom'. Can you suggest a hardy variety of fish in tropical place like India IP: Logged |

For that many goldfish, you will need a filter of some type and this should help you establish some good bacteria in your tank. Unfortunatly, water in a bowl with air will not support fish for a very long time. IP: Logged |

Rajiv, 10 liters is too less for 4 goldfishes. I am from India too. I keep different varities of goldfish witjout any problems. But they are in tanks. Jacob IP: Logged |

it is also a good idea to get some (ich) treatment for your fish...it will save your fish from the Ich paricite..the white bloches..and spots....i also had fish that lived in a bowl(2) for 15years..try again..good luck IP: Logged |
