Hi,

I just picked out a beautiful tri colored shih tzu puppy from his litter.

My vet noticed, after much searching, that one of his testicles has not descended yet.

I've read and been told it still has a few months before it could show up. They usually drop by 6 months.

Does anyone have any experience with this, with it showing up, or not showing up, or with method to help it descend?

Thank you.

I dont think there is anything you can do to help it ddecend. and if there is then i dont know of it and i wish i did. My breeder bought and imported a Male Havanese all he way from spain only to find out that one of his testicles hadnt fully desended. I dont think it matters unless you are going to show him in the sport of Conformation or breed him. but dont worry they usually drop on there own and someimes just take a little longer. But i dont think that its anything the breeder can control.

I would not worry about one that was 11 weeks old not having both down .I have had at 12 weeks some to be down and some not .This is a process that over time will help itself to materalize .So ,be patient and don't worry about it .

he's such a great healthy little puppy in all other respects, paper trained already, so good, we'll watch the testicle to see if it comes down
