I have a pair of min pins & I decided to breed them & sell a litter of puppies. When I advertised everyone who called wanted to know if their ears were "done". My vet & a couple more I called don't "do" ears until they're 12- 16 wks old. Some ads listed "tails, ears & dew claws done", I called one & she said she did her own, but wasn't interested in talking about it. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to do that at home & is it safe? Thank You IP: Logged |

I would never tread in those waters. It seems that they would need pain killers and alot of extra care. Please just do it the way the vet says it should be done thru a vets office. The lady would not talk about it probably because she knew she was doing it too early or something like that. Be the good breeder and do it the proper way. IP: Logged |

I would imagine that doing it on your own would be illegal unless this woman happened to be a veterinarian . I agree with Puttin...listen to your vet. IP: Logged |

My neighbors dogs ear were done at 3 months. They have just a few weeks ago lost their female to her lung problems. I have been helping them look for another. They may adopt. IP: Logged |
