My mom and sister went to the dog store in our local mall, just to see the poor dogs. And it was a sad sight. They saw a older (heavier than normal) yorkie. No one probably like its. It was sooo sad. I wish we would report these places to someone. Any ideas?

i also have been to a local pet store that constantly has new puppies for sale...but time after time we go in there...and there are these two dogs...one yorkie and the other a shitzu that have both been there for atleast a year in those small cages...they obviously havent known anything else....yet the owner of the store still has outrageous prices on these dogs! when the yorkie was a still a young puppy...it was $800! we asked about it wafter a year...and it was still the same! now i dont know why this paticular dog had such a high price becuase many of the other dogs range from between 150-400$. I too was wondering if there was anyplace that we could report this too...the cages are kept relatively clean...but the cages are still very small to spend your entire life in.

Aww that is sad. It should not be allowed!
You dont get petshops here in scotland that sell cats and dogs, havent done so in years and years! - too cruel.

There must be something that can be done...
