I have been reading up on dog food brands. I have found that Natures Recipe has a specific dog breed formula for toy breeds. The ingredients seem to be really good. Here is a link to there website, check it out and tell me what you think. I am currently using Science Diet but wanted to switch. http://www.naturesrecipe.heinzpetproducts.com/pages/dogproducts/breed/toy.asp

nessa.. i went to the website and checked it out.. i've seen natures recipe but i'm not too familiar with it.. there were a couple of ingredients that kind of rubbed me the wrong way.. i'm not too sure what animal digest is, and i don't like the whole by-product stuff.. you can do a comparison wizard at www.naturepet.com
i'm sure there are other places to do this but i'm familiar with this one, i used it when i was switching bella off of puppy food and onto adult food.. i started bella on nutro max puppy because i couldn't find anything better at petsmart, now she is on the innova dog dry.. i was happy with both but definitely see that the she enjoys the innova more and it definitely keeps her healthy, feeling good, and with a nice shiny coat

I used Nature's Recipe in the past with one of my dogs and had great results and very shiny coats. I now use Eukanuba which also has a small breed food. My Toy Poodle has always done very well on this.

If you have a Petco in your area you can get Nutro, Natural Balance or Natural Blend. If you have a Petsmart you can a new brand that just came out called Blue....it looks like a great food. Here is the website if you want to check it out: http://www.bluebuff.com/products/

I've got my puppy on Nutro and is doing great. There are no by-products so that is good. Lacy you should really check out what Eukanuba has in the ingredients!! Not very natural last time I checked.
