I am trying to find what type of grooming equipment is used for toy poodles and where to purchase it. If anyone can offer information on this topic, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure, but I believe a pin brush is for poodles... try www.drsfostersmith.com they have some good grooming tools! Or if you have a local petsmart they have good ones too!

Try www.petedge.com They have a multitude of info and product. They sell all the grooming thing. But you could check that and and see what you need and go to a local store and get them. With my poodle I use a clipper set my MIL gave me. Someday I will get an upgrade, it is an Oster, not sure how old it is, but with ioling and sharpening of the blades and motor up keep they last. I use a small mustach trimmer to trim the hair out of her pads and from around the nails. I usually use a slicker brush to brush her. I blow dry her hair before clipping so that her hair is all one length and not curled so you can get an even trim. Some go out and buy the expensive pet air driers. Usually people with larger poos. Sometimes I use a wide toothed comb while drying. Some wuld say to get the metal comb these movable bars on it so not to casue breakage. Nail clippers or a dremel(which I suggest) you can dremel down low enough without quicking your dog. Well thats it for now, let me know if you need more help. If you want I can give the the addy for the poodle forum I go to. They have a grooming section on it.

What ever you do DO NOt buy those little battery chager Whal clippers. They are only good for a few uses. The hair gets shoved up into the thing and you can't get it out. I opened mine and it broke. I sent it back and they sent me a new one but still with all the hair acumalation its not woth it. Get a cordless mans beard trimmer. There is a small attach\ment that pops out that works very well for around the nails. Though the rest will not work. My hubby uses that part.
