i don't care what kind of laws they pass. they won't get my "killing machine" until they pry her from my cold dead hands. that article was crap! i hate how the people that make those laws know nothing of the breed. they're just a typical media brainwashed idiot ranting on about how our "attack" dogs are a liability to society. so they want to exterminate the entire breed, like genocide. it sort of reminds me of the halocaust. they just need to regulate who can get one, and enforce all dog laws with all dogs. if your walking your pit and another unleashed dog comes over and your dog bit it the media would still make your pit look like a shark with legs. it's ridiculous i hate our society. i moving to mexico..... Lol!Your funny Benny!Fer real,they have bigger issues in mexico than blaming dogs for their owners actions!!Like feeding themselves!I still beleive that those dogs have lost the title pit bull,as being man-agressive is an ABSOLUTE disqualification from the standard.And their owners have lost their rights to own dogs or be called human beings.The country folk I know would shoot one of their own poeple if they were flaunting their poor dogs aggression like that,seriously!I beleive the stories though,I mean, it doesnt surprise me at all.Hell,there is a pitbull on the cover of every gangsta rap c.d. out!They have made the pitbull their symbol,makes me sick. no joke!, i hate that too. how they use the pits on album covers to look all thuged out. people walking by see that cd cover and it reflects poorly on our dogs, they imidiately have a fear or some other negative thought about the apbt. and also the little wannabe ghetto superstars that buy the cd are going to want a dog just like that. just so they look hard in front of their jigga's. look at little bow wow's cd. no wonder people want to kill our dogs. and i agree with what you were saying about man biters, i think they should still cull them. they need to make that a law for all dogs. that makes more sense than banning an entire breed, all dogs will bite if people abuse, or taunt them. that is like saying well sense certain races are more likely to be in gangs, we're just going to wipe out the entire race to solve our gang problem. we are so smart!! oh and ignergehl, i don't think that it's in this thread, but you were saying somthing about the 120 pounders, with the abnormally big head. in my opinion those dogs have to be mutted up with something. even the shorter stocky ones look like they might have some english bulldog in there some where, i say this bc their legs are bowed(sp?)and thier heads are grosely oversized that's not normal is it? i hate fubar pits!!! i got scratched by a cat. i think i'm going to call channel 4 and see if they'll do a story on it. it was a persian cat, so i think that we need to ban all persian cats bc they are dangerous. nevermind that i was chasing it with a stick. we won't tell them that. p.s. don't take the cat thing seriously, i was just comparing them to pit bulls. i would never chase a cat with a stick, even though i despise them. The persian cat threat in this country is growing,and I feel for our childrens sake that the whole breed should be eliminated before ALL of our children have scratches....I mean if I see one bad one on T.V.,it means that the other 10 million persians in the world MUST be dangerous,right?And the poor helpless owners,cant be expected to control such a dangerous animal,or be held accountable in any way,can they?Im starting to think that ALL longhair cats are probably dangerous,too!.... People kill more people than anything else,why arent we working on some,anti-race legislation?I heard that 7 people die a day in car accidents in this city,cars should be banned,seriously!!(not seriously) Incidentally,I have a couple of 80-100 lb. pits,and did have one that weighed 123 lbs.I got in trouble on here saying I was certain they were pure,just from a line of large pitbulls.They dont have oversize heads or bowlegs,they are correctly proportioned,just large.They are from a 50 or some odd year old line of dogs that some okie friends of mine have been breeding,a line started by their grandfather.Im certain they would never have added am. bulldog or anything,these guys are real purists.The fighting rings they are in have 90-100 lb. weight categories,and these dogs are expected to go as many rounds as a lighter dog.If I ever get a scanner I will post some pics,so y'all can see. I agree with you though,that the fubar pits and all those giant headed dogs are crossed with something,which is how most modern breeds were created,but then you are supposed to call them something else,right? I'm dead-set ashamed of that AUSTRALIAN article! That has to be the most biggest load of crap I have read about pitbulls so far!! "An american pitbull terrier is bred to kill another pitbull terrier" Where does this so called Australian Government get this crap from?? Maybe if there was a ban on PEOPLE owning pitbulls then these dogs might actually stand a chance of survival in the future!! WHOOAA DID I SAY THAT I WAS AUSTRALIAN?? don't feel bad neek, this sort of stuff is happening everywhere. i was surprised to see how many countries have actually banned them. it really bothers me. but hey worst comes to worst i only live like 7-8 hrs. from the mexican border and i hear that cancun is nice this time of year.....seriously if i could just save up some money i could go down there and live for like a year or two. they still have dog fights down there. it's like mexico isn't on the same page as the rest of society with crooked police and half of the country panhandling, i guess they've got bigger fish to fry. is anyone else genuinely worried about what our friends at the bsl our going to do next? someone needs to control them, or regulate the information that is publicized. they don't have any facts about our breed, i don't know where they get their info from. i wish their was some way i could slap a lawsuit on them for slander(for all the "facts" they like to invent), or mental anguish(from the dirty looks i get when i walk my dog). oh and remember how we were talking about all the thugs that want a pit to look though. well i was going to get the mail last night and this guy pulled up in a lowrider to get his mail too. he was wearing a bandana and the big chain(bling bling), tatoos all up and down his arms and on his neck. anyways he had a little pit pup, and i was just like great, so i started talking to him. he was a nice enough guy i guess, but he named his dog crip....oh god, and "he got a home boy in south dallas breeds em". isn't that wonderful i just wanted to tell him how the pit just really completed his image. oh yeah and he gave me his number and told me to "hit him up" if i ever need a "sack"(that means pot) and i know you guys don't know but south dallas is the part of town where you don't see any white people after like 5:00, so it must be a very professional breeder. see yall later im going to go practice my spanish. we need to ban white trash! don't get me wrong,i'm white, and i'm from the country, but some people just have no class. if i were you i'de make an anonymous call from a pay phone and say something along the lines of they are trafficing drugs or involved with child pornography, wouldn't it be funny if their door got kicked in at 4 in the morning. or you could just call when they're up late, keeping you awake, and say that there is a domestic dispute. and yeah the ghetto superstar just offered to "hook me up", what can i say i've just got good people skills!!lol,  like i said he was a nice guy though, and i could tell from talking to him that he had a good heart. some people just have different priorities, and aren't ready to grow up. anyways, i am sorry to hear about the problems that your son is having, is the other kid around the same age. if he's alot older(2-3 yrs.) thats not okay, and you as a mother need to step in, or if your son has some older cousins that could come visit that'll work too. i used to get picked on when i was that age, and yeah it sucks, it was hard for me to deal with at the time . i think it builds charactar(sp?), i know it made me a stronger person or gave me more of a back bone. it gave me the mentality of, so what if i get beat up i'm not taking this crap anymore. yeah i got beat up a few times(thats when mom and dad signed me up for boxing lessons), but i wouldn't let people walk on me and once they saw that, they left me alone. and in the end i always got the last laugh. i had some interesting ways of getting even. but i know that my post would be "edited" if i put them up, so yeah. have you tried talking to them, not that i think that it would work, but that way if or when you took them to court for whatever you could say that you tried to talk to them about it. but personally if i were you i wouldn't waste my time on them just call the cops. it's what we pay them for. from what you've said they sound like a bunch of tweekers [This message has been edited by benny boy (edited 11-20-2003).] IP: Logged |

Oh theyre 'tweakers' alright,and no,I wouldnt bother w/ the popos, they are there all the time anyway.The problem is that any confrontation with them results in some sort of vandalism...The weird thing is I used to hang out with folks just like them,and think nothing of it.They werent 'gangsta wanbees',though,more like 'hillbilly mafia'.Yes,the kid is 2 years older and is bullying other kids in the neighborhood,and all of the mothers have confronted the 'cracker momma'.When I did it she turned around and started beating the (bully)and calling him a little b*****d and so on,with no results,by the way.I like the child porn idea,that seems to get someone in trouble faster than anything!also,I think Ill call child protective services.. oh,incidentally,my ex-husband decided to move to oakclff when he left,I guess to make me sad because my son goes and stays w/him on the weekends.So,he is THE only white guy for miles around,and not real bright.yay. man, i'm sorry to hear that ignergehl. i knew they were tweekers though!! up all night working on cars is a dead give away! maybe they're cooking it. that would send them away for a while. are they're dogs in good health? i agree with you about not wanting to deal with the police but when all else fails, sometimes you just gotta snitch. especially if they're vandalising(sp?) your property, thats beyond messed up!!! hillbilly mafia, lol, i know exactly what you mean though!! 2 completely different types of people. hey maybe your son just needs to get with some of his neighborhood buddies and go have a talk with the little b*****d, jk. child protective services is a good idea too, or just cross your fingers and prey that they won't be able to make their mortgage(am i a bad person). man your ex hubby moved to oakcliff? ouch, sucks to be him, lol. my girlfriends aunt lives out there. we went to see her last weekend(with the car doors locked). her boyfriend just found a 10 month old pit puppy. he named him brave, and that dog is mean as hell! i don't know why, but christ. he told me that i should bring my pup over so they could play, i was like yeah that's a great idea(i'll never let that happen). then he found out it was a female that i had, and he was bugging me about breeding her when she gets old enough. then i said neither one of them have papers hoping he'de get the hint, but nope not this genius, kept right on pestering me. finally i was like no i don't think i want to breed her, her nipples will get all grose. then we left.....god that was painful. i can barely take care of the pup i have now, yeah right like a want 7-12 of those litte tornados running around my apartment. i'de rather go to hell with gasoline boots, jk. Angie, your dogs are great looking!!. I'll post pics as soon as possible. We have a solid white female and a solid black male. The female is having her puppies at this very moment. We have 5 beutiful babies so far. 3 browns ( two female, one male) with white on the heads and beutiful white chest patterns with small white tipped tails. The two other females are almost solid white with the exception of one having a black patch on her right eye and the other having a small black patch on her left cheek. All healthy as can be and moms doing great thus far. Our male is so excited he can barely stand it but he can't be around them just yet. We've spent the last 2 months carefully scouting and screening possible owners and now each dog already has a geat home set up and waiting on them. Wish us luck!! I'm glad you've found good homes for your pups. I don't usually agree with people breeding their dogs, especially pitbulls unless they are registered breeders. Are you? I have gotten a good look at their pits,both brindle,and they look healthy to me.Problem is when you approach them they lunge at you,and their owners laugh about it.I have to hope that my son isnt riding his bike out there or something when those dogs get out.... Im bettin if they were 'cooking it' I would have smelled it,no, theyre not that advanced...but Im certain there IS some small-time peddling going on there.The rent in my neighborhood is fairly high and Im sure they will end up moving on.However,theres no telling what will move in next.... I have the pics getting developed as we speak. As far as Neeks view on breeding I actually feel the exact same way. Unfortunately I'm not a registered breeder and actually don't plan on any further breeding. I've been to plenty of adopt a pets and fund raisers b/c I donate regularly to operation kindness. For those of you that are unfamiliar with O.K its an organization that takes donations in order to stop the killing of dogs and advertises them to be adopted. Trust me I see the ungodly amount of pits around and up for adoption because of over breeding or because they couldnt be sold because of being mutts. This litter I currently have is a result of my grandfather and I both wanting pups directly from my sire and bitch. But I will be getting those pictures up so you can see the little guys!!
