My daughter and son in law had to leave town for a couple of weeks. They asked me to watch their pit bulls. They knew when they left they were pregnant but said they would be back in time. Well they arent due back for 5 more days and either they miscalulated or i think we aer having early pregnancy. Can someone please tell me how I can tell if this pit is in labor or not? I can tell you no milk is coming out of nipples but she is whining alot and barking and snapping at everything. I dont know what to do. I cant even get otu there to feed her anymore. She knows me and loves me and I am watching her at her own home so she would be comfy. Please SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

You NEED to take her to the vet. They will be able to tell you what's going on and what you need to do next. It's possible that there's something seriously wrong with her, she may be having complications, etc, so it is VERY important that you get her to the vet as soon as you possibly can (Tonight! Even if you have to take her to a 24 hr emergency place).

My dog got very very moody a few days befor she had the puppies, the vet told me it is very common for pit bulls. She had a fever wouldn't eat, and just plain fealt like crap. I don;t wan't to tell you not to worry but that is what the vet told me.
