i just got a 3month old fawn apbt.and so did my roomate.they are both females and from the same litter.will they still fight later on even though they are sisters and live together?
and is there a difference besides cost in the color?
at 3 months they need to sleep inside right?
and is there an estimate on how long it will take to housebreak them?

They should not fight, but most dogs get jealous for attention. Make sure that they are played with, fed, and walked at the same time. I had a female pit who was insanely jealous of other dogs who came to visit especially pups. As for them fighting, if they grow up together they should be fine, they may have little tiffs but it shouldn't turn into mauling matches, although don't quote me on this. I would have them desexed as females on heat can get very moody. As for the house-taining, at three months they are old enough to go outside and explore, they should then do their business if left long enough to sniff around (do u heve a back/front yard?) If they do it inside, then straight away put them outside the front/back door so they can associate going to the toilet with going to the door. This has always worked for me, but it does take time, also a trained pit is a happy pit so some basic training will make everybody live together happily. Good luck with your new pits.

oh I forgot. It is best to make them sleep inside for a while because a pit pup left on its own outside will probably get bored and may find a way to escape. With two their may be double trouble, one of your pups will probably be a mischief maker, you should know which one soon enough, if you don't already.

They may still fight. They don't know they are sisters. This reminds me of the two shocked people that were surprised if they left brother and sister in the pen together that they would mate. LOL Now that was funny. Anyway dog aggression can be pretty common for this breed. Whoever says different is simply lieing or doesn't know any better. Then again they may never fight. Pit Bulls can be jealous of other dogs getting attention in some instances because being a normally dog aggressive breed or having to be kept seperate from other dogs means people are their pack. They want attention from you the alpha and leader. Never leave them alone together unsupervised, you could come home to a dead or injured dog. I have seen it first hand only it was a mom daughter and the mom didn't make it. Have them spayed also it is a very good idea. You don't have to deal with them doing into heat or having to mess with a litter of pups and possible birth complications. Get yourself a couple of breaking sticks just incase they were to ever get into it, this is practically the only way to seperate them. For the most part if they are going to become dog aggressive it will usually start around the ages of 2-3 years. Having them raised together they may always get along with eachother but not strange dogs. I have seen this happen often too. If they do ever get into something serious, don't be alarmed stay clam and seperate them as quickly as possible to prevent injury. After this you may most likely have to keep them seperate. Don't put one down just because it attacks another, this is a common mistake in newbie pit bull owners. Dog/animal aggression is not associated with human aggression. Socialize your dogs, now would be a good age to start. Also start working with obediance training is a good idea too.
Would definatly keep them in. Pups left outside can become destructive and bored or you may have future problems later from them never getting any socialization/attention and they might end up having bad manners. They are easily stolen at this young age. They may also be poisoned. If you have a nice backyard though it makes a better outside environment. You could set up kennel runs, or a chain set up, or even a pully system. Do you have a fenced yard? Wooden privacy fences are probaly the best.
Now is a great time to get them house broke. Take them out often. What I always do with my pups is take them out as soon as they wake up, after they eat or drink and once every 1-2hrs. This has really help them to never have an accident and teaches them that outside is the spot to elimenate. Infact Pits are usually fairly easy to house train. My friend got a 5 week old pup a couple weeks ago and she hasn't gone in the house. My friend takes her out and she goes she already knows outside is the place to go.
I would also invest in soem crates, these help during the night you can crate them. Dogs don't mess in their sleeping area, just be sure to let them out first thing in the morn. Also you can leave them crated when you are out so they don't mess in the house or get into anything. And of course when they are older so they don't get into any fights that you are not there to stop them at. Just try to be a good and responsible owner. Also color shouldn't affect the cost of a dog at all. Color doesn't mean anything about the dog, one color doesnt make a dog smarter, better conformed a better puller, any more game, or any better of a pet. Some breeders or puppy peddlers will try to pass off a dog as something special because of color. Don't get conned out of money b/c of a color. A lot of times this happens with blue dogs, b/c some claim they are rare, when really thats about all I see advertised anymore in the paper, that and red-noses and pure whites. Feel free to ask anymore questions you may have. Hope everything goes well with you and your roomate.
