How old is your dog? If he is still young, 1-3 years, he will act hypo for a while as these dogs use up alot of energy, which brings me to my next question. Does your pit get enough exercise? Pitbulls need at least an hour long walk/run every day or they become bored and destructive. Toys and especially chew bones will exercise his teeth and gums as well. You should also take your pit to obedience lessons so he knows how to behave with people around, although I have never had a desexed male, I suspect that in time he will settle and become more controllable as well. As for the narrow-minded people in your town, ignore them or say something like "Don't knock it unless you've tried it!" Good luck and remember that YOU live with your pit no-one else so tell them to mind their own business!
