Hello everyone. I was wondering what all is involved in temperment testing? And does anyone know what a good citizenship award is? How do I go about getting one for my dog? IP: Logged |

A description of the Temperament Test (you may also hear it referred to as the TT or ATT) can be seen here: http://atts.org/testdesc.html If you look around on the site, they also have a list of upcoming tests. You might also check with any obedience schools in your area, especially those that do protection/Schutzhund type work, as most of those dogs are TT'ed before competing. Any dog (purebred or not) may be tested. The Canine Good Citizen test is a test given by the AKC, but any dog (purebred or not) can be tested and get the certificate. Information on the test (and upcoming tests) can be seen here: http://akc.org/love/cgc/index.cfm IP: Logged |
