Hello everyone. I was wondering what all is involved in temperment testing? And does anyone know what a good citizenship award is? How do I go about getting one for my dog?

A description of the Temperament Test (you may also hear it referred to as the TT or ATT) can be seen here: http://atts.org/testdesc.html
If you look around on the site, they also have a list of upcoming tests. You might also check with any obedience schools in your area, especially those that do protection/Schutzhund type work, as most of those dogs are TT'ed before competing. Any dog (purebred or not) may be tested.

The Canine Good Citizen test is a test given by the AKC, but any dog (purebred or not) can be tested and get the certificate. Information on the test (and upcoming tests) can be seen here: http://akc.org/love/cgc/index.cfm
And a copy here: http://akc.org/love/cgc/testprocedures.cfm
Again, check with local training places, as you never know when they might be holding a test day. Petsmart also holds a CGC class, but I'm pretty sure you have to go through their basic obedience first, then the CGC class, which might be a bit of a waste if your dog is already well trained.
Depending on where you are located in Texas, you might also want to try contacting Spindletop rescue, they are one of the biggest APBT/AmStaff rescues in the country, and might be able to direct you to a test or a place to train if you need to do so first. Here's a link to their site: http://www.spindletoppitbullrefuge.org/
