I'm a professional groomer and Salon manager at Petsmart ...this guy walks in the other day with a very underweight pit....his whole neck scabby and bloody and hair missing everywhere....I immediate ask if he is fighting the dog!? My girls were "Oh she's gonna rip him a new ******, but he said "NO, man I rescued it" ...he thought we were the vet...this happens a lot even though the vet is "clearly" marked right next to the grooming department and we have grooming all over out department Aaaaaanyway...the story is that his sister was living with a guy that bought the dog as a puppy to fight, but go in trouble with the law and was hiding out a lot....he struck the dog out in the back yard and left it there...he apparently had to run and left town....this guy, the one with the dog now, went over there to get some things he had there at his sisters and found they had just left the dog chained out in the back yard...he had been back there for several days with no food or water. He said he had to hack saw the chain off his neck....he is a very sweet dog, very submissive...when I went to pet his head and baby talk him at the shop, he rolled over in submission then realized I wasn't going to hurt him, he started giving me kisses...I told the man that if something happened and he couldn't keep the dog (he was already complaining that he had no money to take the dog to the vet) I told him to contact me...well....today he contacted me. So we went and picked the baby up,,he is about 4 or 5 months old...lots of haie missing....if you follow the link to a diet board I frequent you can see pics...does that look like Demodex mange to anyone?

Hey check out the topic Bumps on my Bullies skin they were talking about the same thing on there. If you dotn really know any thing about where the dog came from then it really could be anything I remember my dog got a case of ringworm that made marks like those. But it could be allergies. It is fixable though with meds.
