Hello everyone I'm new to the site and just wanted to say hey. I had a pitt for 3 years he was like my child. A big 75 pound lap dog basically that would never hurt any one. My step son used to ride him. I miss him so much but I lost him to a car accident. I had another puppy that ventured towards the highway he got
the puppy away and ended up getting hit by a car. Great dog beautiful black brindle. Now my only problem is I want another one but the are illegal in this parish. Anyway guess I will post later nice to see a site like this. Hopefully more people will come to realize what great dogs they are.

Pit lover--
Sorry to hear about your dog.. but he died saving another.. you should have wrote something up for the paper. Pitbull's could use the positive press.. It is really a terrible thing that these dogs are not allowed in certain parts of the US or anywhere else for that matter. They are truly a magnificent breed. Welcome to Auspet, I am sure you will find many helpful resources here even though you currently are Pit free. Maybe looking into another breed is a better option. You don't want to get a Pit knowing they aren't allowed, then they get hauled away and put under. Anyhow.. again, welcome and I am very sorry for your loss!! I know how difficult that can be.
