hello,
I'm from the U.P. of Michigan. I own an American Pitbull Terrior. Recently she has developed a strange rash on her back... I'm really not sure what it is. It started as bumps and then they kinda looked like bug bites...last night my husband noticed that she was loosing hair on and around the bumps.
Someone please help me figure out what is wrong w/ her.
Could it be mange???

Very possible chance that it is mange.. you will want to take in your pup to be checked to make sure whether it is demodectic or sarcoptic.. demodectic is not usually a major problem, however, sarcoptic is contagious and can pass on to humans as scabies as well, so please get your little one checked..

Also, did you know that they are trying to pass a BSL around the Detroit area.. they would like it to be statewide but do not know the deal... you ought to look into it to make sure you are not in any dangers of losing your Pitbull..
