Hi all,

This is another one. Any help is appreciated.

Russ,

"my pit has been acting odd here lately. He is 2 years old and i have kept up with all his shots and everything. Here lately he has been moping around and twitching and making a really strange noise after he barks.. does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? i'm not able to take him to the vet because he hates cars and will fight his way out of it when i put him in the car and none of the vets in my area will make house calls- any suggestions? PLEASE let me know- i've done research and i can't seem to find any of his symptoms. Thanks so much, Katie"

I looked around also for you, the only thing that even comes close to your description of what your dog is doing all directed its information as to the dog might of encountered a bee sting, with the twitching and so forth. Did you look around his neck and inside his mouth for any lumps bumps or redness. If he was trying to throw up I might say hes got something stuck..but you didnt mention that....did you take his temperture yet?

what kind of strange noise is he making?he could be allergic to some thing?i would take him to a vet.you said he fights when you put him in the car.they make a pill that will calm him down.you can get them at a local pet store.

This is beyond belief. What about when this dog needs his annual vaccinations? Has an accident, or becomes ill, like now?

The fact that the dog does not like the car is a very poor excuse for not taking care of him. Get a muzzle and some tranquilizers.
