I BREED PITBULLS AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HERE LIKES PITBULLS...I AM SO TIRED OF PEOPLE TAKLING BAD ABOUT PITBULLS...DOES ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY ABOUT THEM? Heres a picture of one of my puppies.

YES I DO LIKE THESE DOGS! I HAVE ONE MYSELF AND SHE JUST HAD A LITTER OF 7. I ADOPTED HER BECAUSE SHE WAS ABUSED BY HER OWNER AND MISTREATED. I HAVE SPENT SO MUCH TIME WITH HER JUST TO TEACH HER THE BASIC THINGS A DOG SHOULD KNOW. SHE WAS NEGLECTED AND DIDNT EVEN KNOW HOW TO SIT. NOW IF YOU ASK HER SHE COULD DANCE FOR YOU!!I HAVE HAD HER FOR 2 YEARS NOW AND I COULDNT ASK FOR A BETTER DOG THAN HER. I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD GIVE THE "GOOD ONES" CREDIT FOR BEING GOOD. YOU HAVE GOOD DOGS AND BAD DOGS IN ALL BREEDS. ANYWAY I JUST WANTED TO GIVE A POSITIVE REPLY1 IP: Logged |

WOOPS.....did i miss anything? Princess....you are taking things too personally. I'm sure that Doc~ had no intention to get personal with you. She is just voicing her own opinions on this topic. She personally experienced two attacks, therefore she have every right to be against these dogs. In most of her posts she was really gentle in expressing her views. Princess, I know you think Im a evil Doc, far from it. I have mentioned in some of my other posts that I live in the country, well a few yrs back a neighbor moved away and left his dog behind..these are 5 acre parcels..my son found out bout this, so we went over there ever day to feed this dog that was abandoned and left by his owner. It was a pitbull, and her name was Princess (on her tag). She was a good dog, this one I did not fear for some reason. I was too mad I guess about the owner leaving her like this. I found her a home within a week. Now wouldn't you think from what you think of me I would of taken her to pound and had her put to sleep NO I DID NOT..Well she is still doing good with my friend..now that is my princess story.. Princess, I also love this breed. I was given my first Pit Bull in 1981 and I didn't even know what type of dog I was dealing with. I had never heard of one....I have owned one every since then! I have a York's Kennel black\brindle and he is the light of our home. I also have two mixed\breed rescues, for I do always seen to take the ones that no one wants to save. You can't blame the public, for their fear of this breed. Just watch TV and listen to the news!!!If I didn't know better, I would think we had wild animals that only wanted to kill everything and everyone they met. The best thing we can do for our breed, is to have as many people as possible meet our well-breed and well-handled Pit Bulls. A lot of people are shocked when the most loving dog,in my household turns out to be a Pit Bull! The others are not as friendly with strangers. A German Shepard/Collie and a Rottweiler/mix. They only go to strangers after the Pit has walked up, with tail wagging and wanting to lick a hand. You know this and we have to try to save our breed and let others know this also. There is also so much misinformation about the type of person, who owns and loves this breed. My dog has his own bathroom,sleeps in his own bedroom in his own youth bed, has a bib put on when he gets a snack,rides in a new Lexus, rides in the ski-boat with his life jacket on, rides the jet-ski and loves everyone he meets. He's the only dog at this house we totally trust with everyone! I've learned * the hard way* that I can't save them all, but I can try to save the breed...... IP: Logged |

Springer, I hope your dog is spayed now. You seem like a kind person who loves pit bulls, and I'm glad you rescued this girl. I'm sure you know how many pit bulls are dying in shelters. Hello I am a huge lover and supported of the APBT - American Pit Bull Terrier. I own a APBT and will always own one...maybe two or three when I get a bigger yard. Even though I own a 100lb Male APBT he plays very nicley with my 6 year old nephew, but his mom is terrified of him "snaping" I continue to show her there is nothing to worry about and give her documentaion that this breed does very well around kids. She is warming up a bit, but still a little nervous as she has been brain wahshed by the media. Same with my dad...he thinks my dog is going to snap and kill me any moment...again another ignorant media bain washed person. I continue to bring my dog over to see him and prove to him that my dog would never ever hurt a person especially a loved family member that has done nothing but love, kiss, hug, play and cherish his presence here on earth. And also show him how smart my dog is. My dog knows numerous tricks and basically understand the english language..heheh Anyways, I'm getting off topics here.
