I very much appreciate you understanding the fact that I spank my dog, and not right off the bat criticizing me like Nik whoever did. Which by the way, I'm trying different methods because I have promised myself not to spank her. Thank you for not judging me.

Lauren, we all make mistakes. I am glad you came back to try to get help for your puppy. I have two Huskies (who are notoriously difficult to train) and I have managed to do a pretty good job by them. If I can help you I will. I am glad you are looking into the diffent methods of training. I think you will be glad you did. One of the best books I bought was Huskies For Dummies. It told me everything I wanted to know about Huskies and how to handle them. I bet they have one about Beagles. Look into it, it may help you. Let me know if I can be of more help. Good luck!

Hey I know Im not perfect and no one on this board is there is still alot of stuff we can all learn about dogs or any other animal for that matter. I also have fish and have had them for a long time BUT there is still stuff I learn every day almost about them. Although I am not as smart on dogs as I am fish I know that it takes time and some times people feel like the only way to get through to a dog is to knock the p out of it and I also know what it feels like to be judged by some one just for not knowing something. Some times people forget why this and many other boards are avalible to you on the net and one thing you must remember is there is going to people like that anywhere you go and just try to over look them.

Here is some thing that you might want yo look into
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/

Go to that site it belongs to 2 vets that has been in business for a very long time and you can get a free catalog for dogs, cats, fish, reptiles and other animals on there. In that catalog you will find some stuff that might help you with your pup and I garentee that you can get it there cheaper than any pet store around your local town.

Ray, using ALL CAPS when conversing with someone via online is considered shouting. Now if you would please stop insulting me with my views on spanking and leave me alone I will return the favor enthusiastically. Thank you.
