I spent last week building a new PC and wrestling with defective hardware, so we haven't progressed much!

It was nice to meet you, and Jules is a sweetie! It's too bad we couldn't let them off leash to romp around for a while.

My husband was tossing a toy for Nala the other day, and he was making her wait for the toss and correcting her for trying to grab it out of his hand. But he is strange in that he doesn't use words with her for the most part. I have told him if he uses words consistently it will be easier to communicate with her - like when he takes her to the park, he should say "Let's go to the park!" or somesuch.

So anyway, I told him as long as he was making her wait, he should use the word "Wait." The kids have since picked up on it, too. She does very well! She actually sits down and stares at the toy in your hand, and you can waggle it in front of her face and she just waits!

I think she is going to be an excellent dog. She just needs to calm down a bit, stop chewing on everything in sight, and learn to leave the cats alone! Once she does not have to be confined to her room anymore, I think the problem of getting on furniture to get our attention will go away.
