Hi everyone, Casey had her pups. She went into labor at 10pm last night, the first puppy was delivered at 1:30am. I had to help with the first one, she didn't know what to do. You would have been proud of me! I tore off the membrane, rubbed it with a dry towel, succtioned out it's mouth and cut and tied the cord myself.

I put the pup up to her, and she took over. She didn't have another one until 5:30am, she did it all herself from then on. The last pup came at 8:30am. She is so tired, poor thing! But all are doing great! Thanks again for all your help during this stressful time for me. Oh she has 5 puppies altogether..... Will keep you updated....Sincerely, Happy Grandma! Susan

Congratulations Susan. Hope mum and puppies are doing just fine. You'll have to post a pic of them before they go to their new homes.

I am so glad everything went well for you, it's exciting when you see pups being born and you hear them whimper for the first time.

Anyway congratulations to you and the new mommy and I hope good homes are found for them.

Oh yeah just out of curiosity, what type of dog is she?

Hi again, I am so proud of myself for being able to help, I didn't Think I could do it. Goes to show you, that you never know what you can do until you have to. Casey is full blood mini Dauchshund and dad is full blood Pomeranian. But they look like her, just very tiny.... Who knows though, that could change, they are only a few hours old, so it's hard to tell yet. I'm so proud of her! she did great! the perfect mommy..... Mike thanks for the tip on chicken, I'll do that...by for now, gotta go stare at babies,,,hehehehe...Susan

My Husband got me a digital camera last year for Christmas, and I've never used it...I'm terrible! I need to learn how to work it, and I'll try to post pics with it, as soon as the pups are a little bigger...Thanks for all the congrats! I appreciate it! Sincerely, Susan
