Our dog was neutered a month ago. He is 5 1/2 months old now. I thought neutering was suppose to stop the bad habit of humping pillows and your legs. Or is it just suppose to decrease it? He still goes at his pillow, and will still go after our leg. It's quite embarressing. Will this lessen as he gets older? The neutering was done correctly. Thanks, Rae IP: Logged |

Well, since nobody has replied I'm going to assume that only my dog is doing this post-neutering. Guess I better call the vet. IP: Logged |

Hi, There is nothing to worry about most neutered dogs will still do the humping thing same with spayed bitches they do the same.... He is still a puppy so even though he has been neutered his body is maturing... I know its embarrassing especially when friends are round and the dog decide's its wants to hump there leg but hey its all part of life for the animal heheheheh Eventually he will stop this behaviour as his testostirone decreases in his body.... mike IP: Logged |

My male was neutered at 4 months and my female (3 months younger) was spayed at 5-1/2 months. However.... he still humps her all the time! It's a dominance issue. IP: Logged |

i was just thinking, are you firm with your dog, or does it kind've walk all over you, if it is a dominance issue, he may be doing that because he thinks he is dominant over you. I dunno tho |
