i have a 14 week old female german shepherd i have been fostering since she was 7 weeks old. She has been urinating on my bed for the last three days. I am in vet tech at the local college so i took her to school and had her checked out for urinary problems. nothing wrong there. what is making her do this?

also urinates on the floor with me standing right there..she just looks at me and does it. She also goes outside when we venture out, but seems to have no discrepancy where she goes..in or out.

Do you take her out very often? Have you chosen a word to associate with it and tell her EVERY time she goes outside - "Good Potty!" (or whatever your word is).

When you catch her in the act, do you startle her (to interrupt her) and tell her NO! and march her right outside, and then if she finishes out there tell her "Good Potty!"

She needs to go out immediately after she wakes up, and about 10-20 mins after she eats, and after she plays. Take her out every 45 mins or so and tell her "Go Potty!" If she does, praise her. If not, try again in about 10 mins.

Clean the floor where she has already gone with a product like Nature's Miracle that neutralizes the smell. Your bed, too. Don't let her in bed with you anymore - crate train her.

Hope some of this works for you!

My dog's sister does this, she did it in our car! IT is called submissinve peeing, or something like that, so by peeing, she is showing that she submits to you. At least that is what it sounds like!
