Hi, I was wondering if anyone could offer suggestions for leash training my skittish cocker spaniel. she is almost 2 yrs old and I haven't been able to get a leash on her yet!! She runs from the collar. She also absolutely hates car rides....makes herself sick by being so nervous! My other cocker spaniel is almost 5 and she never had any of these issues....in fact, she was very easy to train! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Other than being skittish, she is a very loveable and sweet dog.
Thx.
Karen

How long have you had this dog for? Talk to a trainer and behaviorist to evaluate and work with her. If you've had her since a pup I'd be very concerned about this behavior. How much training and socialization has she had?

Talk to the vet, in case its an underlying health issue.
