Max keeps getting the hiccups!! Does anyone know why? IS this something I should be worried about? He has them about once or twice a day. We were feeding him Nutro Max but now have Innova/Nutro mix because we are switching him over to Innova.

Any information would be appreciated!

bella used to get the hiccups frequently when she was younger and occasionally now. she was on nutro max puppy when she was younger and is now on innova. i never researched it because i figured it was just like a person that gets hiccups frequently (like myself). maybe someone on the board has a better answer. maybe it has something to do with how fast he is consuming his food, is he wolfing it down which would cause air to get in the diaphragm? maybe it is the nutro? have you mentioned it to the vet, if you have did they have any concern?

We have a 4.5 month old lab who has the hiccups at least once a day..sometimes more. We feed him Royal Canin so I'm sure it's not the food. I've read it's because puppies tend to eat too fast. Tho, Rudy gets the hiccups even when he hasn't eaten!
