Honeybear, at long last an update! My password wasn't being accepted but it seems to be all right now!

Everything went seamlessly, I was pleasantly surprised. We gave Tyson 1/2 the recommended dose of sedative 1 h before we left for the airport, and right up until I took him through security he was fine--which was good bc he had to jump up about 1 metre into his crate in the back of the airport shuttle!
He was really woozy though when we picked him up at the other end, although still able to walk fine, he just stumbled getting into the car.
I couldn't find the Rescue Remedy unfortunately but the health food store recommended powdered ginger, the guy said it made a difference for his dogs... who knows whether it worked or not.
Anyway, I think the whole thing was more stressful for me
If I'd known what would happen AFTER the flight I would've been more stressed about that...Tyson's quite an escape artist, he got out of my grandfather's backyard and was AWOL for 7 hours in a city he'd been in for less than 24 hours! He did come back on his own thank God. He also jumped out of my dad's boat in a swamp but luckily Dad got him back in. We're keeping a close watch on him now.

Well, that's the long version!

Luvmydog - thanks for the update, glad to hear your flight went without a hitch. I am glad you went with just half the dose, can you imagine if you had given Tyson full strength you would have been carrying him!

Wylie is my dog that was a stray. for the first year she didnt want to have anything to do with us and she always wanted to escape! She would just take off running, not sure where she wanted to go. Now she is just the opposite. Tyson sounds like he just needs to adjust to his new surroundings and you which may take a little time.
