vixxy9 unregistered	posted 09-19-2003 06:23 PM I have a dachshund who is recently pregnant. Im not sure when she got pregnant but her mikl is comming in. The weird thing is she likes to suck on her own nipples for milk. Can anyone explain why she is doing this? I am very worried at this behavior. thanks Alisa IP: Logged

You ought to take the dog to the vet to find out if she actually is pregnant and how far along. In my breeding experiences (labs) My mother dog got milk around (4-10 days) before having the pups each time.. (Different dogs) However, I had a Pug who I knew was never bred and she had a false pregnancy. Seh was lactating as well, but.. it was the cat only that was feeding.. lol. Angie IP: Logged

A vet trip to find out if she is really pregnant is a great idea. IP: Logged
