Hi,
I was hoping that someone can tell me if colds, fevers, flu's & other similar human-viruses are contagious to dogs.
I currently have a cold, fever, or flu or something.
I was just wondering if my dogs can get sick too, from me.
Does it matter if they have a weak immune-system or something?

I'm clueless, PLEASE help...

There are a lot of diseases than are transmitted to humans from animals, and it can go the other way too. It really depends on what it is, and how it is transmitted. Most of the organisms that cause "colds" in dogs do not infect humans. I guess the answer is that yes you could possibly give a "cold" or the "flu" to your dog and vice versa, but it's not very likely.

Dogs can get strep infections, I know that! I'm not sure if it makes them sick, but they can carry the bacteria and pass it to humans. I know of a family whose kids kept getting it again after they finished their antibiotics, and they finally cultured the dog and found out he was the culprit!

Well I am happy I stumbled acrossed this threasd.. lol. I am one of those people that says, "My dog's mouth is cleaner than yours!!" to everyone. I will share an ice cream with my dogs, if I am eating something they eat it off my fork and I continue eating it.. I really don't care.. they are my children. I knwo that sounds gross. I have them trained that lollipops are not something you bite.. you lick it.. I mean.. we share everything.. yet I have a hard time to let someone take a drink of something I am drinking without being discusted by it. I KNOW YOU ARE ALL THINKING>> OMG>> THAT IS SOOOO GROSS!! But oh well.. I will keep this all in mind when I am sick.. lol.

Occasionally my dogs will get a lick in when I am not paying attention, but I don't let them lick my face on purpose. Its hard to want to their saliva on you when you see them licking their butt and eating the cat's and their own vomit. Not to mention the cat poop if they can get to it. I don't want cat poop or vomit in my mouth----yuck!
