What kind of dog do you have and how old is she/he? I am not familar with that type of cancer, but my 16 year old Husky had mammory cancer about 6 years ago. She had a lump removed, but it had already spread. I did not put her through any treatments, and it seemed to go into remission. She probably still has the cancer now at 16 because we feel lumps on her tummy and the vet says that is probably what it is. He suggested we leave it alone because it is obviously a very slow growing cancer and she appears to be in good health otherwise.
What is the prognosis with your dog's type of cancer?

I have a 9 year old Full breed German Sheperd. 2001 he a cancerous tumor remove front paw between the toes. Dr claim to have it gotten all. One year later tumor on back paw between the toes remove tumor but dr says that he has fast spreading lumphosarcoma cancer. They give him six months. Have you ever heard of Vitamin A injections to be given to treat cancer?

I had a Beagle who got a lump between her toes on her front foot, we took her in and they did surgery to remove it, the doctor was very pleased and thought he had gotten it all, which made us happy as the tissue proved to be cancerous. However the lump grew back in the same spot, it didn't seem to bother her at all, no pain..I had decided that we would leave it alone and just enjoy her while she was with us. She lived to be 23! She never suffered or had any issues with the lump. She did go blind, and deaf, and she seemed to lose her sense of taste. She finally went into kidney failure caused by simple old age.
I don't know the type of cancer you are asking about...and I don't know about Vitamin A injections...but I do wish you wisdom and peace in the choices you will be making and of course ...we are all here to listen if you need.
