I have a rott./ dobe mix. He is about 6 mos old. He does have separtion anxiety. Today when I put him in his crate he crawled under my bed and when I went to grab his collar, he growled at me! Should I be concerned about this or should i just take it as him not wanting to be put in his crate? He has never growled at anyone at any one else or any reason. I just do not want a dog that will turn on me when he is older and larger.
Please help!!!!

Speaking from someone that has 2 rottweilers. As a puppy growling is something you want to discourage. Rottweilers and dobermans too for that matter are very stubborn dogs but also love to please you. You have to use that to your advantage. Training is the key. An obedience class may be a good idea. iT helps not only with training but also socialization which is a key factor with dogs.
The site below is a site dedicated to rottweilers and rottie mixes we also talk about our nottweilers but you can get some specific advice if you want to check that out. http://groups.msn.com/ROTTWEILERSROCK/welcome.msnw

yeah, you might want ot teach it not to growl but some puppies might just do that, like some dogs bite peoples hands when you try to pet them
