I was wondering, does anyone know what to do for biting pups? I have tried EVERYTHING! IP: Logged |

Have ou tried yelling ouch when the dog bites also when the dog bites stick your hand farther back in the dogs mouth and say no in a stern voice also if you catch him doing it in time you can curl his lower lip back into his mouth and have him bite himself to realize that it hurts. IP: Logged |

This is a good question! My puppy is teething right now and wants to mouth everything. She doesn't bite, but she constantly has our hands in her mouth. I'm wondering if she should be corrected for the constant mouthing. Any ideas? IP: Logged |

Do you have many toys or chew bones for them to access? This is important when they teeth as puppies. IP: Logged |

Wow! I gave a loud, high pitched 'yelp' a couple of times and my puppy jumped a foot and looked at me in the serious, bemused way she has - but ever since, she's been much, much gentler with me...except the time she jumped on me and tried to nibble off my earings! I have to admit that when I've tried this technique with my other dogs, it never really worked. But it's working like a charm with this puppy so far! Thanks for the great web-sites! IP: Logged |

I think the yelping out loud does wonders even for older dogs. When my poodle would play to rough I would yelp out loud and she would look at me as if to say whats wrong and stop it. IP: Logged |
