My 6 year old Black Lab mix shakes like crazy whenever we have a thunderstorm or when she hears any loud noise for that matter. I don't want to give her tranqualizers. Any suggestions? Thank you.

hi, my dog seems to have that problem to, everytime there is thunder he come running into the house or starts to shake like crazy, all i do is comfort him, i even tried sitting outside during a thunderstorm with him, and when he got scared i would pet him and tell him its ok, he seems to calm down and is getting use to the thunder thing,

I do the same thing with her. She clings to me until the thunder stops. Her tail is so far under her that you can't even see it. I comfort her the best I can but nothing seems to help. With the summer here now, we are in big trouble. I hope that there aren't too many firecrackers tomorrow. Thank you for replying.
