Parvo not as common for a 3 y.o. adult to get (not impossible however). Has your dog seen a vet to determine that your dog definitely has parvo? No sense treating your dog (with something that may or may not work) unless you are certain of the ailment. In doing so more harm could be done if a more serious problem with similar symptoms is being overlooked. Dogs that have parvo should still see a vet first! FWIW IP: Logged |

my dog was throwing up this a.m. when i was headed out to work. my husband came home at noon and said she appeared to be fine. i got home about 6:30 and she had apparetnly vomited all day on our couch because it was soaked and she had diarrhea in a few spots through out the house. the vomite is yellow and foamy and the diarrhea is dark, almost black with blood and if you have ever had one with parvo you know the all too familiar smell. it is bad for such a small dog. she has drank a very small amount of water and i gave her some chicken pieces from a can of chicken noodle soup but that came up . i have not taken her to the vet. she is up to date on her shots. we lost 2 australin shepard pups in oct. to parvo and this feels all too familiar. i wonder if she ate something that has got her stomach upset? she stays in the house, only goes out to tee tee. Even if you think you are sure...a vet is the place to go. IP: Logged |

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR INPUT AND SUGGESTIONS. MY DOG IS FINE I SUPPOSE I GOT PARANOID WHEN SHE GOT SICK DUE TO THE RECENT LOSS OF OUR 2 OTHER DOGS. I'M NOT SURE WHAT SHE ATE THAT GOT HER SICK. BUT SHE IS JUST FINE NOW. IP: Logged |
