You might want to try adding something to the mixture that will allow the different branks to blend better, so your puppy cannot pick out the 'good stuff'. For example, you might want to add a little Yogurt to your mixture, along with some water. It will make it like a sort of stew. As far as the yogurt, add maybe a tablespoon. Did you know that Yogurt will help reduce your dogs tendency for gas?

Also, when you mix the different brands, start with an 80/20 ratio (with the yogurt and water). Slowly begin to reduce the S/D brand and increase the new brand. It will probably take about a month before your puppy is off the S/D and on the good stuff.

I was a little skeptical about the whole Yogurt thing, but I have to admit that my dog used to have some major problems too! But ever since I've been adding the Yogurt, there are no problems. I will usually go to the store and buy a big container of either plain or vanilla. That will last about 2 weeks. It's good to add the water too, since a lot of dogs don't get all they need throughout the day.

Give the yogurt a try and let me know how it goes!
