My dog Ivy is a 6 year old full blooded border collie. As an out-door dog, its weird that she is showing bad signs of allergies. It started about 2 years ago. She sneezes almost every 5 minutes. Sometimes numerous times in one minute. She has been on antibiotics, but nothing works. we even paid to have a scope put up her nose to look and see what it was, maybe an infection or something. I can tell shes uncomfortable b/c she snores loudly at night, sometimes waking herself up with a loud sneeze or waking up b/c she cant breathe through her nose. they arent just sneezes. just like a person with allergies, (i know its gross but i want you to understand in case someone out there's dog is having the same problems) she sneezes up lots of snot. when people have sinus invections they say the snot is thick and green, which is what hers is. (sorry for the details) if anyone knows something else i can try... i hate to see her suffering. thank you

My cat has the same problem, started last year when we moved to the other side of town now inthe country. He sneezed so bad and the green stuff out of his nose. It then went in his lungs where he could hardly breathe andit turned into pneomonia and had to be put on antibioitcs We had him tested for allergies which came back positive for a differnt types of grasses, they ut him on an antishitime which didnt help, Prednizone does. It started like clockwork again this spring

Dont wait to get him into the vet, he needs to be put on kind of regime before it gets worse

I have seen animals before with the same problem. Talk to your vet about maybe trying benadryl or an injection of something that may help (like Dex/depo).
