My 5 month old short hair mixed breed was found at about 3 months covered with ticks.
He now has a lovely coat, no signs of fleas or skin irritation but bites and scratches himself constantly. Vets idea of 25mg of Benedryl twice a day has not helped. Any ideas?

could be a food allergy, I change my dogs food and it has helped him with less scratching and biting
