ok just reading all over this messenge board your people attack people who are asking for or selling poo mixes .ok you have spoken your opinions now keep them to yourself. WE have just as much right to be here as you .
Your say that mixed dogs are in pounds and being put to sleep. Well 20-25% of pure bred dogs are also being put to sleep in pounds.
I have resecued pets before . i think it is great but i also have a mixed dog i paid for which I have been attacked for on this board. I am sick and tired of pampass people acting so superior.
Now you have spoken your piece leave it alone. your see the headlines maltipoos or sale, don't read it if you don't like it!!!

That still leaves 75%-80% of dogs in shelters that are mixed breeds... sure, some are from people who just had two dogs and let them breed, or who's dog got bred accidentally by the dog down the street, but others are from people who thought it would be really "cute' to mix "x" breed and "x" breed to get cute little pups. I have less of a problem with people who have an "oops" litter, as long as they don't advertise the dogs as "pure", or as anything other than they are; mixes. The dogs should also be sold/given away on spay/neuter contracts, or fixed before they leave. I do have more of a problem with people who intentionally breed for mixes, or who let their dogs have litter after litter because "it's natural", or because they really don't care.

If you are making reference to me, please share the logic behind your comments? It's permissible for you to openly state your opinions but not for me to do so because I (and others here) do not agree with everything you say???? If you can't take others opinion without regarding it as "attacking" then stop with the blanderous statements in the first place!

Where do you get your stats from? Please list your sources and references, with or without this doesn't necessarily mean there is truth to this. Regardless, it just goes to show us once again there are already TOO many dogs without homes pure & mixed.

JP,
Ther is no question that there are too many unwanted animals in the world period. It is unfortunately an awful situation. BUT I am just stating that if there are too many shouldn't some of the breeding be regulated also????As for my source it came from your post under poo crosses thread. The link that you wanted all of us mixed loving people to read. Netal.org

You posted the link for "We have a severe pet-overpopulation crisis in the US; We slaughter thousands of beautiful, vital, healthy dogs every single day. (Twenty-five percent of shelter dogs are purebred.) "

Look at your own link and read it for yourself.

And as I posted before I am not blaming any one group for this problem. I feel breeders, mixed breeders, and people who let their pets to have puppies and kittens just "because "are the problems. We are all the problem! Thanks again for the great debate.
