Ok I just got a 9 week old Maltese/Pekingnese mix.I took him to vet yesterday because he had tape worms when I got him this weekend. Gross.. ok well they have him a little red pill but he is still passing worms. I thought they were suppose to disolve . Does anyone know how long that takes?

Hmmm, shouldn't the breeder have wormed the pups before they were sold?

Shel alot of times they go by weight on a small dog weight when they give tape worm medicine..cuz it can be harsh on them..
So that would be the answer to last post on the part of the breeders part. Deworming for ascarids (roundworms) can be done at much earliar age...its called "earli worm for pups..but tapeworm is diff.
