Shmpoopie do you think my mom is irresponislbe for putting bleach on it now? Ok you are confusing me if u think I'm responsible or not. Anyhow...I talked to my friend who had a puppy that HAD PARVO, and they bleached and washed bedding, and got another dog, (toy breed) and she is just fine, and is now 4 yrs old... So thanks for helping, but on spring break, me and my mom and sister are going to CLEAN really WELL and bleach and wash bedding, and bleach porch and everything else...And then in a couple months after that I will get a dog. And I'm confessing him to be FINE!

oh yeh, He will have the ALL the shots he can get at that age, and then again I will ALSO get him one at 16 wks to be safe. Plus our labs were not being nursed, maybe once every 2 weeks for very little time. They were on formula, and then eating just puppy food/ with water on it. So thats not excuse for the labs.... And I heardlabs can catch it easily. AND these are so CUTE and HEALTHY as can be!

Oh-yeh the "main" guess at what he had was coccidia. And I know that it is not hard to get rid of!

Okay now i'm confused,,the vet guessed at what was wrong with your dog?
Was the dog even treated before it was put down?

ok here is the thing... He was diagnosed with coccidia. (something that cant be trated) They gave us albon which is something that stops the parasites from growing and reproducing. The own immunity has to get strong enough to kill the parasites. We had been giving him albon, and doing exactly what the vet told us to. well in a few days we wasn't beter so we took him to the emergency vet and gave him a fluid shot, well a day or so later he still wans't better so my mom sister and aunt took him back and they did some tests. Well "parvo" showed up very low positive, so they weren't quite sure if it was parvo, or coccidia or whatever else it could of been. Anyhow there still was a chance he would die, even if we paid like 5-2000 $$$$ on I.V's and intensive care, and we could just not afford that. So my sister mom and aunt decided that he was in so much pain that he would have ot be put down. So that was it. To this day I still miss him. He is burried out under a tree. =( but that is pretty much the story.

If at any time the pups were eating from their mother, they got antibodies from that. I believe that the antibodies are in the "first" part of the mother's milk, and that usually the pup "gets" them when they nurse for the first time.

I'm happy! I just read many websites that clearly stated that in " indoor infected areas" you can bleach the carpets or wait "1 month" and then bring a new puppy into the area. And since, I'm waiting 3 months AND bleaching AND bleaching out side surroundings (even tho my will be inside 99.9 percent of the time) AND spraying disinfectants AND getting all vaccinations AND cleaning bedding AND cleaning clothing well AND bleached and boiled any toys or brushes that might of came in contact with Bengi, I know my puppy will be ok. BECAUSE I have faith! =)
