We recently adopted a 5 month old shih-poo. We love her!!!

I was wondering how often you groom your shih-poo. Someone told us we don't really need to groom her but she was groomed when we got her.

Also... I was wondering how large everyone's shih-poo is weight wise?? I want to keep her healthy and happy!!!

Grooming is a very important part of socializing with your animal. You should groom him/her every day...even if they don't need it!

Cheers

Shih-poos' should be "brushed" everyday! But they also need to be taken to be groomed about once every one-three months! (depending on how long you let his hair grow!) Unless, you have the equipment, and can do it all your self, bu tI would still suggest that you take him to a groomers, so his glands can be cleansed, and his claws clipped! =)

Thanks so much for your response.. that is what I was interested... taking her to the groomers... now I have to find a good groomers here in town.

I do brush her daily.. and clean her eyes. She really enjoys it.

Thanks again for your answers!
