I've got a 13 mth old boston terrier with what I suspect is brachycephalic syndrome(elongated soft palate and small nostrils). By reading US sites I know it can be fixed surgically. I'm wondering if anybody knows if this procedure is commonly carried out in Australia. IP: Logged |

I'm not really familiar with this, but I think making a few phone calls to your vet and a few other may tell you. Also study up on it see how complicated it is and look for someone that fits the bill to do it. There are good low cost vets out there. Good luck. IP: Logged |

Yup, stenotic nares and any and all of it's problems associated with breathing. Common in snub-nosed animals. I would ask your regular vet for a referral...you'll need it anyhow in order to see a specialist. God bless. IP: Logged |
