Hi,Here in Australia animal control would just probably advise the dog's owner to keep an eye on it and control it . Did the siamese have an identity tag? What happened to it, did it run away? If the dog was running in a legal off-leash area, there wouldn't be any action taken against it unless the cat's owner decided to press charges. Even then, I strongly doubt that dogs can be put down for hunting down animals, but there could be a fine to the owners. But this would involve a big court action and the cat's owner probably wouldn't want that. As you really want to know, why not ring your animal control, you don't have to identify yourself, and ask what happens if.....? IP: Logged |
