Hello, I've got a Golden Retriever who's nearly six months old. I have to work a full time 9-5 job, but can come home for lunch breaks to let my dog out and play with him a bit. My neighbor will watch my dog for me, but he's German and only speaks German with the dog all day and wanders around talking to neighbors (in German, I'm in Germany) and lets the dog play all day long outside without ever teaching it to do anything, so the dog is becoming less responsive to me, and very undisciplined. So I decide it's better to keep it in my house with his best friend, the cat, and he's more responsive, but not as happy in general. Is there any training advice anyone can give on how to make my puppy remain loyal and still let him stay with my neighbor for the day? When I let him stay with my neighbor he won't even come when he's called. IP: Logged |

TRY TEACHING YOUR DOG IT'S COMMANDS IN GERMAN AND ENGLISH.THAT WAY HE WILL KNOW TO DO AS IT IS TOLD IN BOTH GERMAN AND ENGLISH.I ALSO RECOMEND YOU TRY TO TEACH YOUR NEIGHBOR YOUR DOGS BASIC COMANDS IN ENGLISH. IP: Logged |
