If anyone has a Pekingese, can you please tell me what it likes to eat. I have one and he does not touch dog food. I have tried fat, oil, meat juice, broth and nothing seems to work. I am starting to think that it is just this breed.
Thank you for any information you can offer.

I have never heard of liver sprinkles, but he does not like liver or liver snacks. In fact he doesn't even like any kinds of snacks that i have tried. I got a really picky dog!

Maybe you could heat the food? It is ment to release smells and make it more interesting to eat. Liver sprinkles are ground up liver treats, my dog loves them. Dont give up!

Tina,
My aunt has a very picky shih tzu...she has tried many, many foods and the only food this dog will eat on her own is Solid Gold Mmellenia.
You may want to check out this sight also... http://www.westielovers.com/westieworld/picky.html

Thank you and that sight is helpful, I think that I might try it. But, does anybody know a certain dog food that is really good that I should try?

To mini pony gal, I do heat up his food often, that's basically the only way he will eat. Except it's my food not dog food, I tried with warm fat/oil in the dog food but he wasn't that interested.
Thanks everyone

Tina -
You can try Solid Gold Mmellenia.

A few other good brands worth checking out:
Innova (www.naturapet.com)
Wellness (www.oldmotherhubbard.com)
Canidae (www.canidae.com)

All of these are really good foods.
