i just had my 5 month old maltipoo spayed 3 days ago. shes doing ok but shes showing some strange behavior. she'll be laying on the couch nice & quiet and all of a sudden she jumps up and runs to the other side of the couch, quickly lays down, jumps back up and goes back to where she came from. she will do this several times before she settles down again, her movements are rapid & twitchy. i thought at first that maybe she was trying to get comfortable or that maybe she was in some pain but i don't know. also, shes taken to going underneath a little table that has a long tablecloth over it and laying there for hours. no coaxing will bring her out and shes never layed there before the procedure, its almost as if shes hiding herself.

i know some of you out there have gone through this and i know it will some weeks for her to heal physically but how long does it take them to recover emotionally from this procedure? i'm almost sorry i've done it.

I seriously doubt she is having emotional problems due to being spayed. Its only been 3 days and spaying is a very invasive surgery. She may be in pain and uncomfortable cauing her to move from one side of the couch to the other and to hide under the table....give it time she will be back to her old self soon.
