We live in Chicago, and one of my husband's truck drivers came in from Texas. When the guys unloaded the truck they found 7 anole hitchikers. It was December and freezing so they were all stiff as boards and brown as they could be. These city boys didn't know what they were but wanted to rescue them so they scooped them up and put them in the furnace room. When they started turning green my husband called me in a panic because he thought they were sick. Well, anyway we ended up adopting four of them. One (Little Foot) had her face half gone from an injury and we nursed her back to health. She even laid eggs later and was the first one to eat from our hands. The others were named Kermit, Tiny and Nimo. The last one died five years after we got them. I've been told they only live for 2 years in captivity so we must have done something right. We also adopted a sick rat that was snake food. Unfortunately she was pregnant and gave us 9 babies too. we found good homes for all of them and Sweety died in her sleep after living with us for two years. Otherwise I've just owned dogs that thought they were people.

Too many to list for past, but at present time I have a blue belly lizard. I was at the nursery about a year ago, it went running by I told the workman there if he catches it I would pay him a dollar..too funny this lil ole guy spent 1 hour chasing down this lizard on 5 acres up and over rocks, knocked over most of their 5 gallon trees and so forth WELL he was caught then I thought hrmmm now how do I get him home..Oh I know Ill buy 1 lb of bermuda seed in a bag and that is how to get him home. Reason I wanted this little lizard was for my grand-daughter now 2 1/2 foo foo of course baby named it..NOW everyone is interested in the family over the lizard he or she now has colored rocks lil trees you name it. I want to let him go but my husband says NO..I will say one thing its a good pet for lil kids to watch and learn from..I guess he will be with us along time, btw does anyone know how long they live..cuz my african grey she is 16yrs old and I guess they live along time I guess tikker will have to go in the will
P>S and my lil minature pinscher D.W.M.N (dog with many names) hes only 5 months old and a BRAT..

Right now, I'm owned by 3 English Mastiffs, one mutt, 5 horses and 7 cats. In the past I've had sheep(Ginger and Maryann), Goats(Bambi and Freckles)a Donkey(Papino)and a Duck(Quackers). The duck was the most interesting. She really thought she was human...used to follow my son(then 3)all over the place and would do tricks for him as well, such as walking a plank from one chair to another...of course, food was involved in this! She was a neat duck, laid an egg every other day until she died...never could find another like her, she was quite special!

Hi

Craziest pet ive ever had was a Stallion named Sam. He was part of a livestock of 120 horses. He was the only stallion and boy was he busy. He would run and jump against the wall. Wall had to be reinforced all the time.

Also had 5 orphan goat kids. Fed them by bottle for about two months and they wouldnt put on weight at all. Fell in love with them. Turns out they had a disease and all had to be out down.

Had a gerbil, who bit his own tail off while trying to bit my mothers finger when she was cleaning out his cage.

Had a guinea pig who just sat there and squealed.

Had a yorkshire terrier which was stolen by my mad aunt who thinks that we dont realise even though she only lives down the road. We dont mind though, she loves him.

Now I live in my own house and have a golden cocker spaniel, my boyfriend has a Springer Spaniel which stays at his house. They hate each other, cant look at one another without attacking.

I have had opossums, a racoon and a skunk. I was given a mink for Valentines Day(A LIVE ONE)It was given to me with a big red ribbon on it by a Brazilian exchange student who was staying with a mink farmer. The thing bit me repeatedly, I was never able to tame it and eventually returned it to the mink farmer after the exchange student had returned home. It was a romantic idea of sorts, but it sure hurt!

I once bought a "bargain" puppy from a puppy mill breeder in Missouri. Just couldn't pass up an AKC registered YORKIE female for $50 you know!! LOL hahahaha. She never did get long hair BUT GREW SO HUGE THAT SHE WOULD HAVE PASSED FOR A SHEPPARD! We kept her in the back yard because she made such an excellent watch dog. Loved and cared for her all the same! WATCH OUT WHERE YOU BUY YOUR DOGS AND DON'T EXPECT TO GET MUCH FOR A BARGAIN PRICE EITHER!!!!!!!!! Michael in Corpus Christi, TX

The craziest pet I've ever had is the cat I have now, he is a devon rex ( Hairless cat) he acts like a cross between a monkey a dog and a child. He's very loving and very busy. We also have a 3 month old ridgeback pup and they chase each other up and down the stairs all day we have to put the dog out once in awhile (cannot put the cat out he'll freeze) We love this crazy looking and acting cat.

Don't know about craziest, but the best pet I have ever had is my current one, Nakia. She is a purebred Sheltie and just the very best. She just turned 7, and I wouldn't trade her for the world, not anything! She is my baby. Everyone adores her.

Other than her, my Peek-a-poo was the best and craziest..ha! He really did do some funny things and we would be practically on the floor in tears, laughing so hard! Everyone loved him too! Had a real great little personality.

We pitched his rubber ball onto the floor, for him to chase, and the dining room wasn't carpeted, so when he went to chase the ball he would forget and then couldn't stop and would literally slide into our sliding glass doors and go BUMB. Every single time! LOL

While I don't have any wierd pets i do have 4 dogs. A sheltie , Beagle, Pug, and a Maltese / pekingnese mix.We are considering buying a couple of alpacas. They are very gentle and loving animals. They do look strange and I don't think they are very common. We haven't made up our mind yet though. Does anyone else have an ALPACA??? If so I would love any info you have on them.
